Australia is not only considered a country, but it is also sometimes related as a continent. Due to its vast extension it is considered as one of the biggest countries of the world after Russia, China and the United States. Australia provides us with a blend of cultures and traditions. Its unique characteristics make it a country worth knowing and visitng, for which, we intend to help in your understanding of the culture.

Being students at ITESM,
we are taking the course Intercultural Communication. The objective of the course is mainly to develop intercultural competence through knowledge of existing differences that may exist between people from different cultures, and also the causes and consequences of said differences. Our team is made up Alejandro Rodríguez, Ana Ruth Servín, Laura Bret, and José Angel Valenzuela.

- Background: Country overview; geography, government, history, and language. An inerview with Clare Webb.
- Culture: Beliefs, values and norms of the culture. Information about dress and food.
- Communication: Preferred verbal and nonverbal ways of communicating in a social and business context.
- Taxonomy: Classification of the culture according to its characteristics and some suggestions.
